Forgiveness

I saw one of the most beautiful things ever. I saw a daughter filled with shame, eyes filled with grief and tears asking for forgiveness. Not even able to look her father in the eyes. Inside herself grief filled fighting through the vale of shame speaking words of war against the accusing thoughts. Pushing though and risking her whole being on the response of her father.

I saw a father so filled with compassion and love mesmerized by his daughters earnestness and humility raise her chin to gaze to his eyes. She looked though the same filled tears deep into his eyes as he said. I forgive you. I love you. All the shame is gone. Your restored to me.

I can barley believe what I saw. It was so pure, so holy, so right. What a beautiful example of how God our heavenly father forgives us. WOW.

I'm the Hit Man

Who gave me this nick name? Where did it come from? Well, it's kinda long story....

Matt Ernspurger gave it to me in 2005. Matt was a fellow Missionary at Young Community in Green Bay, WI. He had a friend he really wanted me to talk to. Andrew. Andrew was someone who lost his way in his Christian Walk. He withdrew from everyone when he was embarrassed or did something he shouldn't have. And, he had quite a history of doing that. Well, when I met him I was filled with words for him. So I just started telling him what was in my mind. I, as Andrew said it, 'read his mail'. Soon after that conversation I started discipling him.

The nick name came when Andrew was telling his story to some friends and described me as a 'Hit Man' that Matt brought along. We all chuckled and it has stuck ever since.

Some of you may not understand what I meant by 'filled with words for him'. Well sometimes God gives me words along with a knowing about a person. Not all the time, actually, very infrequently. But when he gives me 'knowledge' about a person or a situation, I speak it out with passion. I speak assertively. I'm not always right. But, I am confident.

It seems God brings me people who are stuck or confused. I love to coach and disciple them. I am a hit man in the sense that what I have to say is unexpected. My personality is easy going and unassuming. Behind me there isn't a trail of death anord kayos but rather a trail of love and acceptance. I also have a very cool nick name. That is my story, and that is my heart.
